1. a) For Fs- fresh tissue send immediately for Fs reporting. For outside- send tissue in saline b)For HPR- specimen is fixed immediately in 10% buff.formalin in wide mouth container with tight fitting lid or in refrigerator at 10*C-17*C

1. a) for Fs: within 20mins b) for HPR: 7 working days for soft tissue specimen if no special investigation required. 10 working days for specimens containing bones if no special investigation required

Specimen-45 days Paraffin blocks -15 years provided patient has not asked and taken away.
