In keeping with TMCs policy of employee welfare and positive health, TMC has teamed up with Kaivalyadhama, Mumbai and jointly developed a 20 minute Yoga Video Capsule of Modified Asanas and Pranayama which can be done on the chair by the employees at their workstation itself without the need for assembling in groups in a hall .
The video capsule is an all-round yoga exercise to provide maximum benefits in the shortest period of timefor the busy employees at their workstations. This initiative is the ”Kaivalyadhama-TMC Employee Workstation : Yoga on the Chair Initiative”- jointly with Kaivalyadhama, one of the finest and most reknowned Yoga Institutions.
TMC has made pre-recorded sessions of this Yoga Capsule available on the TMC Intranet as well as the TMC Website, to enable staff to access it across shifts via their mobile phones or through the intranet and do Yoga at their workstation itself in turns at their convenience for 20 minutes once a day, without affecting their work or compromising patient care.
In future we will have a variety of such 20minute video capsules for each day, so as to focus on select asanas/pranayamas for targetted muscles or joints in each different capsule so staff may have a choice and variety to choose from to avoid monotony. These will also be available in various languages.
There is additionally an audio recording of a guided relaxation meditation on the chair of 20 minutes duration which has been recorded by Mrs Poonam Revankar, a certified Yoga teacher, in her personal capacity, for TMC staff as well as patients alike in English and Hindi.
The Yoga/Pranayama/Meditation/Yognidra videos are courtesy Shri Ravi Dixit, Joint Director, Kaivalyadham, Mumbai. The yoga videos feature Ms Anvita Dixit and Mr Anvaya Dixit.
