INVITATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION OF CONTRACTOR

Chief Engineer TMC on behalf of Director, TMC invites prequalification applications from firms / contractors of repute for the following Composite works(Civil, Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, DG, Elevators, Fire protection, Fire alarm, Public address system, Communications, IT, BMS,  gas piping, landscaping & allied works, etc).

 Contractors fulfilling following requirements shall be eligible to apply.
  Joints ventures/Consortium are not accepted
 
(a)
Should have satisfactorily completed similar nature of works (Civil, Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, DG, Elevators, Fire protection, Fire alarm, Public address system, Communications, IT, BMS, gas piping etc.) of following magnitude in the last 07 years ending last day of June 2014
 
(1)
 03 similar nature of works each costing not less than Rs.12.8 Crs.
   

Or
    02 similar nature of work each costing not less than Rs.19.2 Crs
   
Or
   

01 similar nature of work costing not less than Rs.25.6 Crs
   

and
   
(ii)  One completed work of any nature (either part of (i) above or a separate one) costing not less than Rs. 12.8 crs with some Central / State Government Department, Central / State Government Autonomous body, Central / State Government Public Sector Undertaking.
   

Important Note :
   
i) Similar work shall mean : Construction RCC framed structure with general finishing works including civil, public health and electrical works for residential buildings, hostels,laboratories, IT parts and other institutional buildings etc. with infrastructure facilities.

Note :  Industrial buildings such as factories etc. shall not be 
considered as similar works.
   
ii) Cost of work shall mean gross value of the completed work including the cost of materials supplied by the Client, but excluding those supplied free of cost. The value of executed works shall be brought to the current costing level by enhancing the actual value of work at a simple rate of 7% per annum; calculated from the date of completion to the last date of receipt of applications for tender.
 
(b)
 Should have had average annual financial turnover of not less than  Rs. 9.6 Crs. during the immediate last 03 consecutive financial years ending 31st March, 2014
 
(c)
 Should not have incurred any loss in more than 02 years during the last 5 years ending 31st March, 2014
 
(d)
 Should have a bank solvency of not less than Rs.12.8 Crs. at current date.
 
(e)
 The bidding capacity of the Contractor should be equal to or more than the estimated cost put to tender

Desirous contractors may obtain prequalification document on request in   writing from the office of Chief Engineer TMC, 6th floor, Service Block, Tata Memorial Hospital, Dr. Earnest Borges Marg, Parel, Mumbai - 400012 on and from 01/08/2014 to 12/08/2014 between 10.00 Hrs to 14.00 Hrs. against non refunded tender cost of  Rs.500/- (Rs. Five hundred only) in cash.
 
Alternatively the applicant can download the application from the websites & submit the tender cost along with the application. In such a case tender cost shall be submitted in the form of DD from any nationalized bank, the DD shall be drawn in favour of “Accounts Officer TMC”, payable at Mumbai. Tender cost shall not be accepted in any other form. The DD shall be   submitted in a sealed enveloped superscripted “Tender Cost”. The    application/s without tender cost (DD) will not be considered for short listing.

Application for prequalification supported by prescribed annexure should be submitted to the office ofChief Engineer TMC, 6th floor, Service Block, Tata Memorial Hospital, Dr. Earnest Borges Marg, Parel, Mumbai 400012 in sealed envelope duly superscripted with name of the work and due date of opening.

The applications will be received till 02.00 P.M. on 26/08/2014 and will be opened on 26/08/2014 at 02.30 P.M.

If any information furnished by the applicant is found incorrect at a later stage, he shall be liable to be debarred from tendering / taking up of work in TMC. The centre reserves the right to verify the particulars furnished by the applicant independently

Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) reserves the right to reject any prospective application without assigning any reason and to restrict the list of pre-qualified contractors to any number deemed suitable by it
