NOTICE  INVITING TENDER

Sealed Tenders are invited in Two parts i.e. Part ‘A’ (Technical Bid) and Part ‘B’ (Financial Bid) for the following work from reputed structural consultants  having adequate experience and capabilities to execute such magnitude of similar works, of comparable cost  and having own testing equipment Lab. Etc. 
Name of work :  Structural Audit of Annexe Bldg., GJB Bldg. and TMH Bldg.

 Estimated Cost :   Rs.  7.00 Lacs

 E.M.D. : Rs.14,000/-


Period allowed for completion of work:  FOUR MONTHS

Cost of Tender document : Rs 500/- in cash (non  refundable) 

Date of sale of tender documents – From 25/11/2014 to 05/12/2014      (excluding Saturdays ,Sundays & Holidays).

Date of  submission of Tender (Part A & B) – on 09/12/2014  upto  14.30 hrs. in the Engineering Department, Tata Memorial Centre , Sixth floor, Service Block, Parel, Mumbai – 400 012

Validity of Tender  - 120 days

Opening of Part A (Technical Bid) – on 09/12/2014 at 15.30 hrs.

Tender documents for the above work can be had from the Engineering Dept. on any working between 10.00 hrs and 16.00 hrs on the dates and on payment as mentioned above  per set  in  cash  (non  refundable) on production of  (a) Bank Solvency certificate of minimum Rs. 2.80lacs  (b) Annual turn over of minimum 10 lacs certified by chartered accountant for the last five years (c) List of similar works carried out during last 5 years (d) performance certificates (e) List  of   equipments (f) List of Technical staff they possess. In addition, list  showing the cost of work completed / in progress in the last 5 years , year wise shall also be produced for consideration for issue of tender papers.  (g) The agency should have full fledged office / Lab. in Mumbai or nearby.  The tender document will not be sent by post.

In case the last date of sale and / or the date of receipt and opening of tender is declared as Holiday, the respective dates shall be treated as postponed to the next working day, correspondingly.

Earnest Money should be deposited along with the Technical Bid in the form of Demand Draft, Pay Order/, Fixed Deposit  of the State Bank of India or Scheduled Bank in favour of Accounts Officer, TMC. Cheques and bank guarantees for Earnest Money Deposit will not be accepted. 

A sum @ 5% of the gross amount of the bill shall be deducted from each running bill of the contractor till the sum along with the sum already deposited as Earnest Money Deposit, will amount to Security Deposit of 5% of the tendered value of the work. In addition the contractor shall be required to deposit an amount equal to 5% of the tendered value of the contract as Performance Security within the period prescribed for commencement of work in the letter of award issued to you. Performance Security may be accepted as Bank Guarantee or Fixed Deposit of Scheduled Banks and State Bank of India. The security deposit/ Performance Guarantee shall be endorsed in favour of Accounts Officer,TMC.         

Tenders will be received upto 14.30 hrs on 09/12/2014 in Engineering Dept. Service Block, 6th Floor, Tata Memorial Hospital,Parel Mumbai – 400 012. Part ‘A’ will be opened on the same day  at 15.30 hours in the presence of the attending tenderers. After opening of part ‘A’ tender, competent Authority shall constitute an inspection team who will visit  their office &  worksites of ongoing / completed works to evaluate the technical capability of the tenderers based on the following points. (a) Financial capability and their turn over during the last 5 years (b) Technical capabilities of the company in the light of the subject work (c) Nature of works executed by the tenderer during last 5 years (d) Organizational structure  of the company (e) Assets of the company required to carry out the subject work (f) Time & quality consciousness (g) Tendency of the company with regard making extraneous claims and disputes. (h) Profile maintaining of site and specifications of present tender. (Preference will be given to agencies carrying out similar types of works).

Part ‘B’ containing Financial Bid of tender will be opened at a later date and the date of opening of Part ‘B” of the tender will be communicated to successful tenderers who are qualified by technical evaluation  involving visit to the contractors ongoing / completed work sites, office.

The Director / Chief Engineer, TMC, reserves the right to accept the work in full or in part or reject the tender in full or in part without assigning any reason thereof.
