The Tata Memorial Centre (Tata Memorial Hospital) is the premier institution in India engaged in education, research and comprehensive care of cancer patients. The department of Palliative medicine at TMH represents a comprehensive and sustainable model of holistic care that enhances wellbeing at the physical, emotional, social and spiritual dimension for patients with advanced life limiting illness and their caregivers.

 Doctors and registered nurses are invited for six weeks certificate course in Palliative Care. The course is designed to prepare doctors and nurses to meet the increasing demand of palliative care at various health care setting. The course aims at training doctors and nurses in managing patients with life limiting illness with regards to effective pain and non pain symptom control. Recognizing patient’s psychological, social and spiritual concerns, able to communicate effectively, able to manage patients at different settings such as hospital, hospice and home, able to provide end of life care for the dying, able to educate other health professionals, patients and caregivers and able to work in a multidisciplinary team.

HOW TO APPLY:Eligible applicants may download the application form from through the link on our website viz. http://tmc.gov.in OR http://tmh.gov.in and send their application alongwith a recent passport size photograph affixed on right hand top corner with attested copies of all certificates, so as to reach the H.R.D. Office, Tata Memorial Hospital, Dr. Ernest Borges Marg, Parel, Mumbai – 400 012 on or before 10.02.2015.

During the period of training, the Trainee shall not apply for any post or any other courses/ P.G. studies / Scholarship or appear for any examination or interview outside

Persons working under Central/State Government/Autonomous Body/Semi Government Organizations and other Public Sector Undertakings must submit their application forwarded through the head of the organization.

Late & incomplete applications are liable to be rejected. No correspondence of any kind will be entertained.

Last date for receiving applications may be relaxed by two weeks in respect of candidates working or training abroad provided they send a PDF version of the complete application with all relevant attachments before the last date. Tata Memorial Hospital reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates for interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualification and marks.  Merely fulfilling the prescribed qualifications will not entitle an applicant to be called for the interview.  Tata Memorial Hospital also reserves the right to reject any of the application without assigning any reason thereof.
