TMC is an autonomous Grant-in-Aid Institute of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. TMC is affiliated to Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI). The HBNI is a Deemed University of the Department of Atomic Energy with a mission to develop high quality postgraduate educational programs in science and technology including those related to life and health sciences. M.D.(Pathology) or equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by Medical Council of India with minimum 15 years’ experience in the specialty with a proven record of leadership qualities with expertise and maturity to develop and enhance front areas of clinical, surgical and molecular pathology.  The candidate would need to co-ordinate, plan and administer the existing and the new anatomic pathology laboratories of Tata Memorial Centre (TMH & ACTREC), and also provide a thrust to the several educational and teaching activities of the centre.

M.Ch. / D.N.B. in Surgical Oncology with 1 year experience in Breast Oncology post M.Ch or D.N.B. OR M.S./ D.N.B. (General Surgery) (or equivalent postgraduate degree) recognized by MCI with       4 years’ post M.S. experience in Surgical / Breast Oncology . Exclusive experience in breast cancer surgery for 1 year is desirable. Candidates with Ph.D in Life Sciences/ Health Sciences after M.D. /M.S. (Surgery) will also be considered.

Candidate must also have good practical knowledge of SQL, Crystal Report & RDBMS. Working knowledge of AS/400, DB2, Web Technology/ Web development tools, skills on ASP/VB Script, JAVA, JAVA Script etc. is advantageous. Candidates having prior relevant experience of working in Healthcare Industry will be preferred..

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from a recognized university and registration with State Pharmacy Council. Additional Qualification in Materials Management / Business administration from a reputed institute is desirable.  Candidate should have minimum 10 years’ experience (after Degree) in a functioning Dispensary of a  minimum 300 bedded hospital of which atleast 03 years’ should be at a senior level. The incumbent must have adequate knowledge of computerized operations, inventory management, well versed in FDA rules and procedures as per Drugs and Cosmetics Act. Candidate should be able to maintain on-line systems. Candidate should be able to lead a team of Pharmacists for functions of purchase, stores, sales and administration in a Dispensary.

Age and experience will be reckoned as on 03.07.2015. Age is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and 10 years for Physically Handicapped. Age may be relaxable in cases of additional qualifications, higher experience and special needs for the development of the Department and for Departmental candidates.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:

Medical Officers will be appointed  in the appropriate Scientific Grade and given an Academic Designation as per the Medical Council of India norms.In addition to pay, other allowances including DA, HRA, TA, etc will be admissible as per the prevailing rules of TMC.  All officers will be eligible for institutional financial support for active participation in National and International Medical Meetings, Workshops and Conferences after their probation is closed. Medical Officers are entitled to all privileges applicable at TMC. All officers will be covered by a Contributory Health Service Scheme for self and dependants.Residential accommodation will be provided subject to availability. All are eligible for retirement benefits and pension under the New Pension Scheme.

Candidates may be offered a higher or lower grade than what is advertised based on their working experience, research track record and overall assessment at the time of interview and recommendation of the Selection Committee. 

 Departmental candidates who are presently in a grade lower than what is advertised may apply for appointment  to the higher grade apart from the existing merit promotion scheme. Only exceptionally qualified candidates with proven merit/track record would be eligible for fast track review promotion.

Candidates appointed will be rotated in any Units of TMC based on the needs of the Units concerned as and when necessary.The TMC also may exercise the option to offer appointments on "Contract Basis" for a fixed term on a consolidated remuneration.

The candidates at Sr.no. 1 to 12  shall submit a Demand Draft of Rs.500/- and  at Sr.no. 13 to  20 shall submit a Demand Draft of Rs.300/- drawn in favour of Tata Memorial Centre, Parel, Mumbai -       400012 by Post. Candidates may pay the said amount by using Debit Card /Credit Card. SC/ ST / Female candidates / Persons with disabilities / Ex-servicemen  are exempted from paying application fees. They shall also submit a recent passport size photograph, attested copies of all certificates regarding Date of Birth, Educational Qualification, Experience Certificates, Caste Certificate (in the Government of India format), Physically Handicapped Certificate etc. along with the copy of online application form on or before the last date of receiving the applications to the H.R.D. OFFICER, TATA MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, PAREL, MUMBAI-400 012.  It is mandatory to submit a copy of Online application along with copies of relevant certificates, otherwise the candidature will be treated as cancelled. 

Skype Interview can be arranged for the candidates presently working abroad subject to availability of the facility, if desired (for Sr.No. 1 to 12). Candidates seeking Skype Interview should submit photocopies of certificates attested by the present employer. 

Persons working under Central/State Government/Autonomous Body/ Semi Government Organizations and other Public Sector Undertakings must submit their application through the head of the organization.

Separate applications should be submitted for each post.

 Three Referees listed by the candidate should have been associated with the training or supervision of the candidates work during past 10 years. (Sr.No. 1 to 12)

The amount paid vide D.D./Online with application will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Tata Memorial Centre also reserves the right not to call any candidate to appear for interview without assigning any reason there for. 

Tata Memorial Centre reserves the right to fix minimum eligibility standard / bench mark and restrict no. of candidates to be called for interview taking into account various factors like no. of vacancies, percentage of marks in PG degree etc.  Tata Memorial Centre also reserves the right to fix minimum eligibility standard/    cut-off marks (Group/Stream/Discipline/Category-wise etc.) while finalizing such candidates to be called for interview as well as selecting the candidates for final selection after the interview.   The decision of the Director, Tata Memorial Centre in this regards shall be final and binding and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained with the candidates.

In case it is found at any stage of recruitment that the candidate does not fulfill the eligibility criteria and/or, the candidate has furnished any incorrect / false / incomplete information or has suppressed any material fact (s),  his / her candidature will be cancelled.  If any shortcoming is detected, even after appointment, the services of the candidate are liable to be terminated forthwith.  Therefore, before applying for any post, the candidate should ensure that he / she fulfills all the eligibility criteria under the norms mentioned in the advertisement.

For applying Online, the applicant must possess valid email ID and a facility to take printout of the Acknowledgement Receipt.

All correspondence with the applicant will be done through email only.  Information regarding call   letters etc. will be provided through email.  Responsibility of receiving, downloading and printing of related documents will be of the candidate.  Tata Memorial Centre will not be responsible for any loss of email sent, due to invalid/wrong email ID provided by the candidate or delivery of emails to spam/bulk mail folder etc.

The candidate must submit a recent passport size photograph, attested copies of all certificates regarding Date of Birth, Educational Qualifications, Experience Certificates Caste Certificate, Physically Handicapped Certificate etc. along with the copy of online application form and a Demand Draft of Rs.500/-(Rs.125/-for SC/ST candidates) drawn in favour of Tata Memorial Centre, Parel, Mumbai – 400012by Post/Courier before the last date of receiving the applications to the H.R.D. The application can only be submitted after entering the Registration Slip No., DD Number.  It is mandatory to produce documentary evidence (e.g. Certificate from Dean of his/her Institution or Supplementary PG registration certificate from the State MCI branch) that the postgraduate degree is recognized by the Medical Council of India at the time of interview.  Only committed applications will be accepted.  The candidate will be responsible if the application is not committed online and submitted to H.R.D.
