TMC is an autonomous Grant-in-Aid Institute of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. TMC is affiliated to Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI). The HBNI is a Deemed University of the Department of Atomic Energy with a mission to develop high quality postgraduate educational programs in science and technology including those related to life and health sciences. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

(01.) DEPUTY NURSING SUPERINTENDENT: (01 UR)

M.Sc or B.Sc in Nursing from a recognised university with minimum 15 years’ experience of which 5 years should be in Clinical area as Staff Nurse in more than 300 bedded hospital is must. Minimum 5 years’ experience in Nursing Administration / Teaching. Weightage will be given for additional qualifications and experience. Experience in continuous professional development of nurses and postgraduate education of nurses is desirable. This position requires proven track record of leadership qualities for executing institutional policies and establishing frontline service, training and research facilities in Oncology Nursing.


(02.) TECHNICAL OFFICER `SB’ (C.S.S.D.) : (01 UR)

B.Sc.in Chemistry /Physics / Zoology / Microbiology / Biotechnology with 50% marks and Post Graduate Diploma /Degree in Hospital Management. Minimum 10 years experience in a senior position in C.S.S.D. of a reputed hospital.


(03.)NURSE ‘A’: (05 UR, 01 OBC, 02 SC) (REFER CORRIGENDUM )

General Nursing & Midwifery OR Basic or Post Basic B.Sc.(Nursing), with 2 years experience. Candidates should be eligible to register with Maharashtra Nursing Council. Preference will be given to Nurses who have completed Diploma in Nursing Oncology. Candidates who have done Diploma in Nursing Oncology and served the bond period will be given relaxation in age by 5 years.


(04.) JUNIOR ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL) : (01 OBC)

First Class Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Full Time course) (3 years after S.S.C. OR 2 years’ after H.S.C.) from State Board of Technical Examinations and should have 3 years’ post qualification experience with an established firm in Maintenance of Electrical installations such as – HT/LT Sub-station and Switchgear, ACB, MCCB, Starter, Cubical Panels, DG Set, APFC, PS System, Building wiring/cabling and Fire alarm & Public Address System, etc.,OR B.E. (12+4 years course) in Electrical Engineering with 50% marks from recognized university + 01 year experience in relevant field (after degree) .


(05.) JUNIOR ENGINEER (ELECTRONICS) : (01 UR)

First Class Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication OR Electronics (Full Time course)(3 years’ after S.S.C. OR 02 years’ after H.S.C.) with 03 years’ experience in Maintenance of Telephone system (EPABX), Surveillance System, Projectors, Amplifiers (AV System),Fire Alarm System, PA System, Access Control System, PLC, Drives, etc., Candidates should have ability to work independently under the general guidelines from Superiors OR B.E. (12+4 years course) in Electronics and Telecommunication or Electronics with 50% marks from recognized university + 01 year experience in relevant field (after degree).


(06.)JUNIOR ENGINEER (MECHANICAL) : (01 SC)

First Class Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Full Time course) (3 years after S.S.C. OR 2 years after H.S.C.) from a State Board of Technical Examinations and should have 3 years post qualification experience with an established firm in the field of HVAC in Central A/C Plants of large organizations. Candidate having additional qualification in HVAC and experience in major hospitals/hostels/institutional buildings will be preferred. Candidate should have ability to work independently under the general guidelines from Superiors OR B.E. (12 + 4 years’ course) in Mechanical Engineering with 50% marks from recognized university + 01 year experience in relevant filed (after degree).


(07.)JUNIOR SUPERVISOR(CIVIL): (01 UR) (REFER CORRIGENDUM )

First class diploma in Civil Engineering – Full time course (3 years’ after S.S.C. or 2 years’ after H.S.C.) from a State Board of Technical Examination and should have 2 years’ post qualification experience with Civil Maintenance /Project. Candidate having experience in Maintenance of major hospitals/hostels/institutional buildings will be preferred. Candidate should have ability to work independently under the general guidelines from superiors.

(08.)ASSISTANT MEDICAL SOCIAL WORKER: (01 UR)

Post graduate degree in Social Sciences (MSW) from a recognized University with minimum one year’s experience (after MSW) preferably in the field of Social work.


(09.)SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANT ‘B’ (BIOCHEMISTRY) : (1 SC)

B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology with 50% marks OR B.Sc. in Biochemistry/ Chemistry/ Botany/ Zoology/ Life Sciences with 50% marks with Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology and 01 year’s experience in a Medical Laboratory.


(10.)DATA MANAGER (Centre for Cancer Epidemiology ): (01 UR)

B.SC (I.T.) with 50% marks and 03 years’ experience in maintaining database of large scale Epidemiological studies and Proven efficiencies in working on MS Access and Sql database. Basic understanding in statistical analysis of Epidemiological data is desirabe.


(11.)SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANT ‘B’ (GENERAL MEDICINE) : (1 SC)

B.Sc. with 50% marks and 2 years experience in Echocardiography. Candidates with certified course in Echocardiography and experience in stress testing will be preferred.


(12.)STENOGRAPHER: (01 UR)

H.S.C. + Certificate course in shorthand with speed of 80 w.p.m and Typewriting @ 40 w.p.m. respectively plus MSCIT. Minimum one year experience as Stenographer in a reputed organization. Preference will be given to Graduates having Diploma in Secretarial courses.


(13.) TECHNICIAN ‘C’ (ICU) :(01 UR)

H.S.C. (Science) with some experience in ICU/OT as Technician / Respiratory Therapist / Dialysis Technician in a reputed institute. 1 year’s certificate / Diploma course in Electronics OR related subjects will be desirable. Preference will be given to those who have passed 1 year course in OT / ICU / Respiratory Therapist / Dialysis Technician from a reputed institute. 

(14.)FIREMAN ‘A’ : (01 UR, 01 OBC) (REFER CORRIGENDUM )

H.S.C should have completed fireman training from State Fire Training Centre (not less than 6 months). 05 years experience as fireman in an Industrial Fire Station or Hospital Industry OR 02 years experience in regular fire services. Driving license of Heavy Motor Vehicle is essential. (No deformity, Height : 165 cms, Weight : Corresponding to height and age as per medical standards, Chest : 81 cms (normal) and 86 cms (after expansion),

Vision : The minimum distance vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 both eyes without wearing glasses or any other aid. Night or colour blindness shall be a disqualification)


(15.)TECHNICIAN ‘A’ (ELECTRICAL): (01 UR, 01 SC) (REFER CORRIGENDUM )

S.S.C and ITI Electrician (2 years full time course) with NCTVT and two years experience in Industry /Commercial building /Hospital etc. after NCTVT


(16.)TECHNICIAN ‘A’ (CARPENTRY): (01 OBC)

S.S.C. + I.T.I (Carpentry ) (02 years’ full time course from Government Recognized Institute) + NCTVT + 02 years’ experience in Carpentry work after NCTVT with basic computer course MSCIT or equivalent.


(17.)SECURITY ASSISTANT (Reserved for Ex-Servicemen only) (02 UR, 01 OBC, 01 ST) (REFER CORRIGENDUM )

Graduate from a recognized university or its equivalent (in case of an ex-servicemen). Shall have completed NCC-‘C’ certificate or should be an ex-servicemen. Should possess valid license for Light Motor Vehicle(Transport). Minimum 3 years experience in Security duties in the supervisory cadre in large organization / government organization or should have held supervisory grade in Army / Navy / Airforce for 3 years and shall have completed 15 years of reckonable service. Age and experience will be reckoned as on 30/11/2015. Age is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and 10 years for Physically Handicapped. Age may be relaxable in cases of additional qualifications, higher experience and special needs for the development of the Department and for Departmental candidates.


GENERAL CONDITIONS:

Medical Officers will be appointed in the appropriate Scientific Grade and given an Academic Designation as per the Medical Council of India norms.

In addition to pay, other allowances including DA, HRA, TA, etc will be admissible as per the prevailing rules of TMC. All officers will be eligible for institutional financial support for active participation in National and International Medical Meetings, Workshops and Conferences after their probation is closed. All officers will be covered by a Contributory Health Service Scheme for self and dependants.

Residential accommodation will be provided subject to availability. All are eligible for retirement benefits and pension under the New Pension Scheme.


Candidates may be offered a higher or lower grade than what is advertised based on their working experience, research track record and overall assessment at the time of interview and recommendation of the Selection Committee.

Departmental candidates who are presently in a grade lower than what is advertised may apply for appointment to the higher grade apart from the existing merit promotion scheme. Only exceptionally qualified candidates with proven merit/track record would be eligible for fast track review promotion.

Candidates appointed will be rotated in any Units of TMC anywhere in India based on the needs of the Units concerned as and when necessary.

The TMC also may exercise the option to offer appointments on "Contract Basis" for a fixed term on a consolidated remuneration.


Candidate shall submit a Demand Draft of Rs.300/- drawn in favor of Tata Memorial Centre, Parel, Mumbai - 400012 by Post. Candidates may pay the said amount by using Debit Card /Credit Card. SC/ ST / Female candidates / Persons with disabilities / Ex-servicemen are exempted from paying application fees.

They shall also submit a recent passport size photograph, attested copies of all certificates regarding Date of Birth, Educational Qualification, Experience Certificates, Caste Certificate (in the Government of India format), Physically Handicapped Certificate etc. along with the copy of online application form on or before the last date of receiving the applications to the H.R.D. Dept., TATA MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, PAREL, MUMBAI-400 012.

It is mandatory to submit a copy of Online application along with copies of relevant certificates, otherwise the candidature will be treated as cancelled.

Persons working under Central/State Government/Autonomous Body/ Semi Government Organizations and other Public Sector Undertakings must submit their application through the head of the organization.

Separate applications should be submitted for each post.

Three Referees listed by the candidate should have been associated with the training or supervision of the candidates work during past 10 years.

The amount paid vide D.D./Online with application will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Tata Memorial Centre also reserves the right not to call any candidate to appear for interview without assigning any reason there for. Tata Memorial Centre reserves the right to fix minimum eligibility standard / bench mark and restrict no. of candidates to be called for interview taking into account various factors like no. of vacancies, percentage of marks in PG degree etc. Tata Memorial Centre also reserves the right to fix minimum eligibility standard/ cut-off marks (Group/Stream/Discipline/Category-wise etc.) while finalizing such candidates to be called for interview as well as selecting the candidates for final selection after the interview.

The decision of the Director, Tata Memorial Centre in this regards shall be final and binding and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained with the candidates. In case it is found at any stage of recruitment that the candidate does not fulfill the eligibility criteria and/or, the candidate has furnished any incorrect / false / incomplete information or has suppressed any material fact (s), his / her candidature will be cancelled. If any shortcoming is detected, even after appointment, the services of the candidate are liable to be terminated forthwith. Therefore, before applying for any post, the candidate should ensure that he / she fulfills all the eligibility criteria under the norms mentioned in the advertisement.
