Tata Trusts Cancer Care Program Appointment: Senior Research Fellow (RF) Position: Senior Research Fellow (position for 2 years) Tata Trusts Cancer Care Program

Role of a Senior Research Fellow (RF):The SRF is a part of the Tata Trusts Cancer Care Program and will be involved in drafting, coordination and management of public health and clinical research studies for India region being led by clinical experts at Tata Trusts and their partner network. He/she will actively contribute to the development of research knowledge in India and work on a range of projects including but not limited to public health research, health systems research and clinical research. He/she will play an active role in the planning and execution of processes and plans of multi centre trials being led by Tata Trusts. Key elements of the role includes drafting of protocols, research manuals, budgeting, regulatory filings, ethics applications, backend support in terms of procurement of items related to the study, shortlisting and interviewing personnel for on-ground teams, coordinating training of personnel, monitoring of study sites and QA/ QC (quality control) for the projects. He/she will be the key interface for study sites for India and assist in identifying critical risks and developing mitigation plans. Besides, he/she will be expected to contribute to publications of high quality research (Literature research, systematic review, preparation of abstracts, articles, papers, manuscripts etc.) and be able to write grant applications to secure funding for research being conducted by Tata Trusts.

Requirements: A candidate with an MPH/ M Sc in Clinical Research, with 3-5 years of experience in public health research/ clinical research and trial management is mandatory. The candidate should possess a deep understanding of the functioning of the public health system in the states and districts. He/she should demonstrate an ability to handle and coordinate multiple projects at a time. Experience in medical statistics will be desirable. Good communication skills, both spoken and written, and good interpersonal skills are expected of the candidate.
