Applications are invited, in the prescribed format, for the award of Junior Research Fellowships [JRF 2018 for Ph.D. in Health Sciences   at Tata Memorial Centre.

The Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) Is An Autonomous Grant-In-Aid Institution of the Department of Atomic Energy, the TMC is  comprised of the Advanced Centre for Treatment, research and Education In Cancer (ACTREC) And The Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH). The TMC will conduct Ph.D. Program In Health Sciences and Is affiliated to the Homi Bhabha National Institute (Deemed University). On-going research at TMC includes basic and translational research in cancer biology, Clinical research including trials,  study of Epidemiology and Molecular Epidemiology.

Qualifications: DM / M.CH./MD /MS /DNB / M.Sc. (Applied Biology /Analytical Chemistry/Biochemistry/Bioinformatics / Biophysics /Nutrition/ Biotechnology /Microbiology / Molecular Biology / Zoology / M. Tech (Bioinformatics / Biotechnology) from a recognized University with > 60% aggregate marks. Those awaiting results may also apply. As per HBNI guidelines, candidates with < 60% aggregate marks neither be admitted in the program nor be considered for an interview.

Stipend:   As per applicable norms commensurate with qualification and experience. Limited hostel facility is available in the TMC campus on first come, first served basis.

HOW TO APPLY

Please read the instructions for filling in the application before you begin the application process.  General & OBC candidates have to pay the Online Registration Fees Rs. 2000/- by using Debit Card / Credit Card only.  SC / ST / Female Candidates / Persons with disabilities are exempted from paying of fees while submitting application.  Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.  Candidates shall verify their eligibility for the post before applying and making payment of application Fee.  Last date of online application is 31^ST May, 2018 upto 05.30 pm & receiving hard copy of online applications within 7 days (i.e. 07^th June 2018) from the last date of Online application.

Incomplete forms and those without attachments will be rejected. Final admission into the Ph.D. Program is subject to the candidate satisfying HBNI University eligibility criteria as mentioned above. TMC reserves the right to increase the minimum eligibility criteria in case of receipt of large number of applications.

All correspondence with the applicant will be done through email only.  Responsibility of receiving, downloading and printing of related documents will be of the candidate.  Tata Memorial Centre will not be responsibility for any loss of email sent, due to invalid / wrong email ID provided by the candidate or delivery of emails to spam / bulk mail folder etc.

STUDENTS  WHO HAVE QUALIFIED IN NATIONAL LEVEL WRITTEN TESTS :

·    Candidates who have valid junior research fellowships from CSIR/UGC/ICMR/ DBT or other recognized agencies, obtained after appearing  for a written entrance test, will be called for direct interviews to be held in July, only if they have applied online.

·   Candidate who have applied online but have received external  fellowship intimation after 31st  May, 2018  must send proof of the award by e-mail [registrar@tmc.gov.in] to seek direct interview dates.

DECLARATION OF WRITTEN EXAM :

The list of eligible candidates called for the written entrance exam will be displayed on the TMC website by  last week of June 2018.
