    Fellowship in Medical Oncology / Peadiatric Oncology

    The Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) is a Comprehensive Cancer Centre with a mission to achieve the highest standards in patient care, cancer prevention, cancer research and professional development for oncology and allied disciplines. TMC is an autonomous body funded, controlled by the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. TMC is affiliated to Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI). The HBNI is a Deemed University of the Department of Atomic Energy with a mission to develop high quality postgraduate educational programs in science and technology including those related to life and health sciences. Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) is recognized by Medical Council of India and these posts will be considered as teaching experience.

     

    To develop career in the field of Medical & Paediatric Oncology, TMC invites applications from eligible candidates of Indian nationality, who are keen to pursue a career in TMC units at Different locations.  Applications are invited from the Post Graduate of Internal Medicine and Paediatrics having aptitude in Medical Oncology for 2 years TMC Fellowship (1Year at TMH + 1Year at Varanasi / Vishakhapatnam / Mullanpur / Sangrur-Punjab / BBCI Guwahati.)

    MD/ D.N.B. (Pediatrics) or equivalent PG degree recognized by MCI  with one year post MD/DNB experience in teaching hospital.  









    AGE LIMIT:  40 years (Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC & 10 years for Physically Handicapped). Age & Experience will be reckoned as on 06.09.2019.

     

    CONSOLIDATED REMUNERATION :


    1. For 1st Year                           Rs.86000/ per month

     

    1. For 2nd Year                         Rs.88000/ per month

     

    1. During Bond                         Rs.90000/ per month


    GENERAL CONDITIONS :


    1.       Application Fee :

    (i)                   Candidate shall pay the application fee of Rs.300/- online using  Debit Card / Credit Card.

    (ii)     SC /ST / Female Candidates / Persons with Disabilities / Ex-servicemen (1st time applying for civil post after serving any rank) are exempted from paying application fees.

    (iii)                The application fee paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

     

    2.      Security Deposit :  You are required to deposit Rs.86,000/- (Rupees Eighty Six Thousand Only) at the time of joining OR the same will be deducted in 5 equal installments from remuneration. This deposit will be refunded after completion of Fellowship training.

     

    3.         Submission of bond:

    (i)       After successful completion of this fellowship, he/she will have to serve 1Year bond at the above centres. After completion of 2 Years Fellowship and 1 Year bond, they will be considered for a faculty position as Assistant Professor in Medical Oncology / Pediatric Oncology at the above centers following due process of recruitment.

     

    (i)       The Fellow has clearly understood that he/she will be required to sign a bond for completion of the Fellowship tenure for the period of 2 years and binds himself/herself that he/she will complete the Fellowship (2 years), failing which he/she would be bound to pay Rs. 10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs) to the Tata Memorial outreach Centre forthwith on demand by the Tata Memorial Centre together with the interest thereon from the date of default, at the rate prescribed of Government loans and prevailing on the date of demand.

    (ii)      The Fellow clearly understands that in the event the said Fellowship continues the Fellowship for the entire duration of 2 years and on his/her successful completion he/she binds himself/ herself to serve for a minimum period of one year at the Tata Memorial Centre, including any of the outreach units supported by TMC, located in the non urban areas (such as ACTREC / Sangrur / Mullanpur / Vizag / Varanasi / Muzaffarpur/ BBCI and any other areas) failing which he/she would be bound to pay Rs. 25,00,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Lakhs Only) to the Tata Memorial Centre forthwith on demand by the Tata Memorial Centre together with the interest thereon from the date of default, at the rate prescribed of Government loans and prevailing on the date of demand or if payment is made in the country other than India, the equivalent amount of the currency of that country converted at the official rate of exchange between that country and India.

    4.             All P.G. degree must be recognized by Medical Council of India.

     

    5.             Candidates who have appeared for the qualifying exams in July 2019 (may also apply (as per eligibility criteria mentioned in notification).  If selected for the above post their joining will be considered   after production of passing certificate.


     

    6.             Medical Facility : Will be admissible as per the prevailing rules of TMC. 

     

    7.             Accommodation : Sharing Residential accommodation will be provided subject to availability

    8.  Last date for online application is 06.09.2019 upto 05.30 p.m. & receiving hard copy of online applications within 06 days from last date of Online application i.e. 13.09.2019. 

     

    9.             It is mandatory to submit online application.  Candidates must submit documentary evidence in support of the details furnished in the Online Application Form regarding date of birth, qualifications, experience, caste, disability certificate etc., failing which such applications will be treated as incomplete and summarily rejected. 

     

    10.          Note: Admit Card/Hall Ticket for the Written Exam / Interview / Skill Test will be uploaded online.

     

    11.          Submission of Application :

    .               Candidate shall submit a recent passport size photograph, attested copies of following certificate as a proof of date of birth, qualification, experience, age relaxation for reserved category & Persons with Disability along with the copy of online application form sealed covers superscribed as “POST APPLIED FOR -  Advt. No. 118/2019” on or before the last date of receiving the application to the 3rd Floor, Service Block building, H.R.D. Department, Tata Memorial Hospital, Parel, Mumbai – 400 012.  It is mandatory to submit a copy of Online application along with copies of relevant certificates, otherwise the application will be rejected.         (i)    Date of Birth : Birth Certificate / School leaving certificate / S.S.C passing certificate.

    (ii)     Educational Qualification : Mark sheet & Passing Certificate of final examination.

    (iii)    Caste Certificate : Valid Caste Certificate (in the format of Government of India), Caste Validity Certificate in case of ST, Non Creamy Layer Certificate in case of OBC candidates is mandatory. Formats are uploaded on TMC site.

    (iv)    Persons with Disability : Physical Disability Certificate.

     

    12.          Please note that permission from your present employer to appear for interview is necessary, in case, you are now serving under Central/State Government/Public Authority. You will not be allowed to appear for interview if this permission is not brought.

    13.          Tata Memorial Centre reserves the right to cancel the posts, fix minimum eligibility standard / benchmark and restrict   no. of candidates called for MCQ / written examination / Interview taking into account various factors like no. of vacancies, performance of the candidate etc., and decided to determine the qualifying marks for selecting candidates for the Interview. Merely fulfilling the prescribed qualification will not entitle an applicant to be called for MCQ / Interview. The Tata Memorial Centre also reserves the right to fix minimum eligibility standard / cut off marks (group / stream / discipline /category-wise) etc. while finalizing such candidates to be called for Interview as well as selecting the candidates for final selection after the Interview. The decision of Tata Memorial Centre in this regard shall be final and binding and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained with the candidates.


     

    14.          Tata Memorial Centre reserves the right to restrict the no. of candidates called for the MCQ / Written examination /Interview to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualification and experience of the applicants. Mere fulfilling the prescribed qualifications will not entitle an applicant to be called for MCQ / Written examination / Interview.

     

    15.          All correspondence with the applicant will be done through email only (hrdvaranasi@tmc.gov.in).  Tata Memorial Centre does not take any responsibility for non receipt of application through online / By post, not receiving email due to invalid / wrong email id OR emails delivery  to spam / bulk mail folders etc.

     

    16.       16.   In case it is found at any stage of recruitment that the candidate does not fulfill the eligibility criteria and / or, the candidate has furnished any incorrect / false / incomplete information or has suppressed any material fact (s), his / her candidature will be cancelled.  If any shortcoming is detected, even after appointment, the services of the candidate are liable to be terminated forthwith.  Therefore, before applying for any post, the candidate should ensure that he / she fulfills all the eligibility criteria under the norms mentioned in the advertisement.
