The Tata Memorial Hospital announces a "Training Programme in Palliative Care" for Social Workers / Volunteers as part of comprehensive care for cancer patients.
The discipline of Palliative Medicine in Oncology encompasses caring for the patients with advanced disease, where “quality of life” is the main aim. Caring for these patients is a team approach with doctors, nurses, social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, stoma care, volunteers and home care services who provide a comprehensive & holistic approach for their patients.
Applications are invited from SOCIAL WORKERS / VOLUNTEERS for training programme in Palliative Care as detailed below:
DURATION : 10 days from 01.08.2018 to 10.08.2018.
NO. OF SEATS : 30 for Social Workers & Volunteers (Candidates sponsored from District Hospitals and
Government Medical Colleges under the jurisdiction of Directorate of Health Services and Medical Education and Research will be given preference).
QUALIFICATIONS : BSW/ MSW / preference will be given who have experience in counseling.
AGE : Up to 70 years (relaxable in exceptional cases & sponsored candidates)
DIET DEPOSIT : Charges will be charged as per rules.
We have no arrangement of accommodation for outside candidates. They should make their own arrangement for accommodation.
Eligible candidates may send their application in the proforma given below alongwith a recent passport size photograph affixed on right hand top corner with attested copies of all certificates so as to reach the H.R.D.
