Fellowship Name

‘DR.P.B. DESAI FELLOWSHIP IN SURGICAL ONCOLOGY’ COMMENCING
 FROM 03.01.2022.

Eligibility

 
More than 5 years’ experience after a suitable post graduate qualification (M.S. or
 equivalent)  of which 1 year should have been spent in Oncology, preferably at a
 cancer Institute / Medical  College / Large Private Hospital. 

 Those involved in Non-oncology work may be considered if  two thirds of their
  work involves Oncology.

Applications Fees

General & OBC candidates have to pay the Online Payment f Rs.2,000/- (Two
 Thousand only) & SC/ST have to pay Rs.500/- by using DEBIT Card / Credit Card
  only. This is non-refundable.
(Duplication of fees will not be refunded).

Application Process

• Interested candidates fulfilling eligibility criteria should complete the

application form online as per instructions.
(Only submitted applications will be considered).

• Candidates are advised to save the completed application and print the

Document on one side of paper only.

• The Hardcopy of application alongwith Copies of all relevant certificates

and Documents are required to bring at the time of joining.

• Application will be rejected if the candidate provides incorrect / false

Information in the Application form.

• No correspondence in this regard will be entertained.

Age limit

40 years as on 24.12.2021 (Relaxable by 05 years for SC /ST, 03 years for OBC
& 10 years for Physically Handicapped).

Stipend

Rs.75,000/- (Rupees Seventy Five Thousand Only) per month.

Accommodation

Selected candidate from outside Mumbai will be provided hostel accommodation
on  availability only.

Security Deposit

Rs. 75,000/- (Rupees Seventy Five Thousand Only). Fellows have to pay
Security Deposit at the time of joining OR the same will be deducted in five equal
 Installments from their salary.

This deposit will be refunded without interest after completion of Fellowship.

Cafeteria and Library
facility

Candidates who will be staying in Hostel will have to pay monthly charges to avail
the cafeteria services as per the package opted for.

In addition to actual charges refundable deposit  of  Rs. 4000/- for diet and
Rs. 5000/- for library will have to be paid to avail of these facilities.

Terms

• 1. Persons working in the Govt./Semi Govt. Organizations or Autonomous bodies
•     must send their applications through their institutional head.
•  
• 2. Doctors working in hospitals affiliated to the national cancer control program or
•     working in district hospitals are encouraged to apply.

• 3. Please note that Foreign Nationals are required to get a suitable Visa / Entry
•     permit from Indian Embassy in their country and should register with the National
•     Medical Commission, New Delhi if selected and join the course  after clearance
•     from Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of External Affairs. 

4. During the fellowship, the candidate shall not apply for any post or any other
    Courses / P.G. studies / Scholarship or appear for any examination or Interview
    outside.
