“ONE YEAR CERTIFICATE COURSE IN INTRAOPERATIVE NEUROPHYSIOLOGICAL MONITORING (IONM)” AT TATA MEMORIAL HOSPITAL COMMENCING FROM 03.01.2022
Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai announces “One Year Certificate Course in IONM”. This training program will be focused on application of intra-operative electrophysiological mapping and monitoring techniques as applied to neuro-oncological and other general oncological surgeries. The course will cover theoretical, technical and practical aspects and will include hands on training on the state of art with emphasis on quality control. Selected candidates will be enrolled into the course and examinations will be held in house periodically, and certificates will be awarded to successful candidates on completion of the course.

QUALIFICATIONS
1) M.Ch Neurosurgery or any branches in Surgical Oncology or equivalent; MS ENT / Surgery/ MD/DM Anaesthesia or MD Physiology or equivalent from a institute recognized by Medical Council of India
2) M. Sc / B. Sc/ BPMT in Neuroelectrophysiology / Neurosciences/ Paramedical Technology / Physics, Physiotherapy or equivalent from a recognized university
3) B.E/ B.Tech/M.E or M.Tech in Biomedical Technology / Biomedical Engineering from a recognized university

AGE LIMIT
30 years (Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and 10 years for physically handicapped.

STRUCTURE OF THE COURSE
The structure of the course will include
· ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY OF THE NERVOUS SYSTEM AND MUSCLES
· BASIC PHYSICS AND ELECTRONICS
· EEG AND EVOKED POTENTIALS
· CLINICAL NEUROPHYSIOLOGY AND NEUROSURGERY
· ANAESTHESIA
· SOP PROTOCOLS ON IONM
· SAFETY MEASURES IN IONM INCLUDING STERILIZATION ETC.
· HANDS ON TRAINING ON DIFFERENT IONM MODALITIES

OBJECTIVES
At the end of the course, the candidate would be able to:
a) Work in an intraoperative clinical neurophysiology service.
b) Carry out advanced tests in all these fields under supervision of qualified personnel, with effective quality control and provide reliable real-tome reports to the surgeons.

EXAMS
Candidate must obtain 50% marks in all the individual theory and practical examinations of the course to be declared successful.

Terms & Conditions:
During the period of training, the trainee shall not apply for any post or any other course / PG studies/ Scholarship or appear any examination or interview outside without the permission of the Centre.
The course fee will not be refunded, if the trainee leave or remain absent from the training before completion of the course, the certificate will not be issued.
Candidates whose performance in the course work is consistently found below expected standards will be terminated and certificate will not be issued.
If more than 30 candidates apply for the positions, a written examination will be conducted and short listed candidates will be interviewed. Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the interview.
Person working under the Central / state government, Autonomous body, Semi government organizations and other public sector undertakings must submit No Object Certificate from the present employer.
How to apply:
a) Last date for online application is 20.11.2021 upto 05.30 p.m. (Indian Started Time)
b) Candidates must send in their candidature through “Online Application” only.
c) Candidates will be initially screened and call for interview on the basis of information provided by them In the online application form.
d) Incomplete applications will be similarly rejected.
e) Candidates who would be called for interview are required to carry online application form, original documents alongwith one set of copy in support of the details furnished in the online application form regarding date of birth, Educational Qualifications, Experience certificates, Caste certificate, Physically Handicapped Certificate etc, failing which such applications will not be allowed to appear for interview.
f) Tata Memorial Centre reserves the right to restrict the numbers of candidates call for the interview to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualifications and experience of the applicants. Mere fulfilling the prescribed qualifications will not entitle an applicant to be called for interview.
g) In case it is found at any stage of recruitment that the candidates dose not fulfill the eligibility criteria and / or, the candidate has furnished any incorrect / false/ incomplete information or has suppressed any material fact (s), his / her / candidature will be cancelled. If any shortcoming is detected, even of the appointment, the services of candidate are liable to be terminated forthwith. Therefore, before applying for any course, the candidate should ensure that he / she fulfills all the eligibility criteria. Under the norms mentioned in the advertisement.
h) Tata Memorial Centre also reserves the right not to call any candidates to appear for interview with assigning any reason thereof.

printing of related documents will be of the candidates. Tata Memorial Centre will not be
