Occupational Therapy is an area of medicine that steps beyond the 'prevention and cure' mantra to the maximal independence of the individual. Department at TMH is specialized in Oncology Rehabilitation and facilitating maximum recovery within the limitation of disease and its related side effects. Occupational Therapy possess skills and knowledge related to cancer as well as the side effects of cancer and its treatment Also Occupational Therapy services at Tata Memorial Hospital are dedicated to expand therapists’ knowledgebase, skills, and acumen. Organizing scientifically designed educational program, support building professional competency and performance. We believe that for best patient care, health professionals should invest in educational opportunities that give them up to date knowledge and skills and encourages them to use these resources for personal and professional growth.
Dr. Mrs. Tole was Occupational Therapist of international acclaim for her pioneering works in the field of Occupational Therapy and her selfless and dedicated 50 years service towards the cancer patients. Dr. A.P. Tole (Ex. HOD Occupational Therapy Department) has invested major part of her life in creating various facilities for cancer patients and providing them maximum function within their limited physical resources. The Occupational Therapy Department at Tata Memorial Hospital wishes to pay respect to Dr. A.P. Tole by organizing Educational Program in her honor.Â
