For over half a century, Tata Memorial Centre has been in the forefront in its fight against cancer. It remains a unique institution, where patients afflicted by cancer get a multidisciplinary expert care and comfort under one roof.

Lymphedema is a chronic swelling of arm or leg and is considered to be the most feared complication following cancer treatment. It causes disfigurement, discomfort,distress and psychosocialdisturbance.

Comprehensive Lymphedema Management is not available in many centers in India and hence, this 5 days 'Certificate course in Lymphedema Management' is designed to train therapists and oncologists working with cancer patients. This course provides comprehensive and useful insight into many essential features in the management of Lymphedema. The training is comprised of a series of lectures followed by demonstration and training about Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) which includes Bandaging techniques, Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) and Exercises. A display of various Lymphedema products and a short demonstration on the use of Pneumatic PressurePump will also be a hallmark of this program.

This workshop is open for Oncologists, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists and other health care professionals.

Number of participation limited to a maximum of 20.
