TMC is an autonomous Grant-in-Aid Institute of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. TMC is affiliated to Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI) and the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS). The HBNI is a Deemed University of the Department of Atomic Energy with a mission to develop high quality post-graduate educational programs in science and technology including those related to Life and Health sciences. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Professor & Head, Department of Medical Oncology
M.D. /D.M. (Medical Oncology) or equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by Medical Council of India with 16 years of experience in the specialty in a recognized teaching hospital. Eligible candidate must be working as a Professor and have been a recognized Guide for D.M. Medical Oncology. Candidates should have plenty of work experience and proven track record in the areas of clinical care, education and research in Medical Oncology. This position requires leadership qualities to execute institutional policies and to advance the clinical care services, clinical research portfolio and teaching and training of Medical Oncologists at TMC. |

M.D. (Biochemistry) or equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by Medical Council of India with 12 years experience in Clinical Biochemistry of which at least 4 years must be as an Associate Professor with proven track record in service, education and research spheres in Clinical Biochemistry. This position requires the operational skills for running state of the art Clinical Biochemistry facilities and providing logistic support to all the translational and clinical research programs at TMC and maintaining the accreditation and QC of all the laboratories at Tata Memorial Hospital and ACTREC. |

In the likely absence of suitably qualified candidate, radiologists with three years post M.D. experience as Senior Residents will be considered for appointment in a lower Grade of Assistant Professor. |

Candidates must be well versed with all the ICU related procedures including cardiac pacing, portable ECHO cardiography and renal replacement therapies. |

The candidate should be able to lead a team of Pharmacists for functions of purchase, stores, sales and administration. |

Deputy Chief Security Officer:(Grade II)
Graduate from a recognised University. Preference will be given to ex-servicemen/Police Personnel worked in a senior capacity not below the equivalent rank of Captain/D.S.P. in the Army/Police respectively or the candidate should have worked as Security Officer in a large civil organisation for a minimum period of 8 years in the pre-revised scale of Rs.6500-10500. He will be well versed with vigilance work, fire fighting procedures and field work, Police Liaison, Domestic Inquiry procedures etc. and should be dynamic having proven leadership qualities. The candidate would need to assume total administrative responsibility to co-ordinate and organise all stated functions in the Security Dept. and will assist the Chief Security Officer/Chief Administrative Officer in the over all administration of Tata Memorial Hospital at Mumbai and ACTREC at Navi Mumbai. He may also have to handle the entire security work independently in the absence of the Chief Security Officer. |

Officers will be appointed as Scientific Officer (Medical) in the appropriate Scientific Grade and given an Academic Designation as per the Medical Council of India norms.
Pay and allowances including NPA, DA, HRA, TA, etc will be admissible under the prevailing rules of TMC. Medical officers will become eligible for institutional financial support for active participation in National and International Medical Meetings, Workshops and Conferences, etc. after their probation is closed. Medical Officers will become eligible for sharing the Private Practice Revenue in lieu of the NPA as per the existing rules of TMC. All officers will be enrolled into a contributory health insurance scheme for self and dependants. Residential accommodation will be provided subject to their availability. All officers will also be eligible for retirement benefits and pension under the new pension scheme.
Candidates may be offered a salary grade in a higher or lower grade than what is advertised based on their actual teaching experience, research track record and based on the overall assessment at the time of interview and recommendation of the Selection Committee.
Departmental candidates who are presently in a grade lower than what is advertised may apply for promotion to the higher grade apart from the existing merit promotion scheme. They will be considered and called for Interview only in cases of exceptional and proven documented merit for a fast track review.
Appointed candidates will be rotated based on the needs of the concerned Departments at the Tata Memorial Hospital Parel campus and ACTREC campus as and when necessary.
The TMC also has an option to offer appointments on “Contract Basis” for a fixed term on a consolidated salary.
UPPER AGE LIMIT: 50 years for Sr.No. 1, 2,16 to 18 and 45 years for Sr.Nos.3 to 15. Age will be reckoned as on 17.11.2008. Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC. Age may be relaxable in cases of exceptional merit, qualifications, and special needs for the development of the Department and for Departmental candidates. |
