The Department of Pathology of the Tata Memorial Centre is dedicated to service, research and education. The diagnosis of cancer is authenticated and validated by the staff pathologists for each case before commencing therapy.

Services:

	Surgical Pathology, Immunohistochemistry and Molecular Pathology.
	Hematopathology and Clinical Pathology.
	Cytology
	Biochemistry

Almost all these services are NABL accredited. The histology diagnostic services can be availed by submitting surgical specimens, slides and /or paraffin blocks, for routine histopathology, Immunohistochemistry and molecular pathology.

The department has a busy Frozen Section service.  The cytology service includes Fine Needle Aspiration and Exfoliative cytology.

The consultant staff participate in clinico-pathologic tumour meetings with specialty working groups on a regular basis. They also undertake teaching and research activities.
