Basic Hematopathology Course
2 days course (12th - 13th June 2010)
Course description: This concentrated one and a half day course is designed to provide a basic review of hematolymphoid lesions. The course will cover morphological approach to hematolymphoid neoplasm (bone marrow aspirate, biopsy and lymph node). It will also include basics of various ancillary techniques including immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry. Automated hematology analyzers and issues related to quality control will be discussed.
Educational objectives: This course is intended for post graduate students, residents and fellows in pathology and also for practicing pathologists.
Expected outcome: It is expected that the participants will acquire a basic knowledge of approach to hematolymphoid disorders - especially neoplastic, including morphology and ancillary techniques.

Accommodation: Limited accommodation is available from June 10 -12, 2010.
First 25 interested applicants will be provided with accommodation at TMC Guest Rooms at BARC, Anushakati Nagar. Charges will be approximately Rs 300 per day. Confirmation regarding availability of the accommodation will be notified at a later date. Payment shall be made at the time of arrival.
