Clinical details: Urine smear (from urostomy pouch) of a 54-year old male presented with complaints of hematuria and raising serum creatinine levels received for cytological examination. The patient had history of muscle invasive high-grade urothelial carcinoma (HGUC) of urinary bladder 8 years ago and undergone radical cystectomy and ileal conduit for the same, and chemotherapy. On follow-up, after 1 year, urine cytology showed HGUC and subsequent radiological investigation revealed thickness in the Rt. ureter and wash cytology from ureter showed HGUC, following which patient underwent Rt.
